It's a Dinosaur Invasion!

On Monday students found some very strange footprints all over the school including an enormous one in the bark area.  Everyone realised that some dinosaurs had snuck into Tawa School over the weekend.

Room 16 had a go at identifying the different dinosaurs and learning about them.  Some students measured the footprints and measured how big a real dinosaur was too.  They discovered that dinosaurs came in all shapes and sizes.

On Tuesday Room 16 made a discovery in the classroom.  There were some dinosaur egg fossils.  Some Room 16 palaeontologists opened the eggs to discover what was inside.

On Thursday students made dinosaur skeleton models.  They also used the dinosaurs in our classroom to sort and compare by size, shape and distinguishing features.

There were rumours during the week that some students had seen some dinosaurs sneaking around in the forest area.  It was a very exciting week at Tawa School!
