Gymnastics and The Body.

Image
We had our last session at Big Air Gym this week. The children loved these lessons, tried out a range of new skills and found out about how capable they were. Some activities needed practice to master and we saw great enthusiasm and determination. A huge thanks to the coaches and our parent helpers. We have been looking at the body this week. We looked at the skeleton and found out some facts about it. We used the torso to place organs in the correct place and we made our own skeletons. Some children carried out their own research to find out more. We looked at lungs and discussed their features and role. We made some of our own. We looked at the digestive system and carried out an experiment where we pretended the food was being chewed in our mouths, broken down in the stomach and squeezed in the intestines.
