ANZAC day.

This week our main focus has been on thinking about ANZAC day. 

We have listened to stories and soundtracks about the day, created poppies and made forts and dens in the forest. We have thought about what it must have been like to be a soldier away from home and some of the things they would have seen and heard. 

We made ANZAC cookies and Brenda brought in some photos and equipment that belonged to her great uncle who fought in the war.

This week we have also begun practising for our cross country race that will happen in week 4.

We have been working with our lovely student teacher.

We also began our swimming lessons.

It has been an action packed week!
