Week 7 Pasifika Club, Cooking, Book Reviews and Pyjama/Onesie Day!
This week in Room 16 we had a cooking provocation. Students could choose to make toast, playdough and vegetable soup. There was lots of reading instructions, following instructions, measurement and oral language. We were treated to a wonderful performance from The Pasifika Club at our special Fono assembly on Wednesday.
Some students wrote book reviews about a new book that hasn't been published yet. Their reviews will be sent to the publisher to let the publisher know whether or not Room 16 enjoyed the book and thought other children should read it.
On Friday we had a Onesie/Pyjama Day. It was so much fun. We had a go at designing pyjamas or Onesies and then turned them into puppets. In the afternoon everyone enjoyed a milo and shared their favourite book with a buddy.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend with your whānau.
There sure were some yummy smells coming from Room 16 this week. Maybe you could all help with the cooking at home this weekend.
